I opened up my eyes and forgot who I pretended to be
Maybe someone with at least sense of accountability
Found my keys, packed the car so I could leave
I didn't expect to freeze so immediately
Calling out, a bit rattled in soft skin
Prepared to know what I need to do to find ya
Calling out, it's okay to say nothing
But I need to know what I need to do to find ya
Built a house and ran the plumbing through my blood; good luck
Don't expect much of a flood; good luck
Taking samples in the dust, looking for love
But all I found were a few pictures of us

There is a lot to hear here and unsurprisingly it's a mixed bag, but Passing Strange's stunning arrangement of "Tourniquet" blows me away. They make it sound like it was ALWAYS a piano ballad, and their contribution was to rock it up with lively drums. summer villain
